The Cigars came back from a 3 run deficit to beat the Cubs in their MSBL season opener. Sean Turnan held the Cubs in Check through 5 innings. The Cigars finally got their bats going in the 6th and scored all 11 runs in the last 3 innings. Sean Turnan had a couple of hits including a double and Lanny Lautenschlager and Jeff McMichael had big hits to lead the comeback. Walkler Rutledge had an RBI single in his first at bat as a Cigar. Eric Johnson struck out 5 in the 2 and 2/3 innings to close out the game and get the save.
