Cigars split 2 with the Crackers, end regular season at 11-7

The Cigars played a two day series with the Crackers to end the 2006 MSBL regular season. In the first game on Saturday the Cigars took a 5-2 lead into the bottom of the eigth despite playing much of the game with only 8 fielders. The Crackers found the wholes in the 8th and came back to beat the Cigars 5-6 in 9. Alfredo Medina had a 3 run home run and made a spectacular diving catch to turn a double play with the bases loaded. Eric Johnson pitched 7 strong innings holding the Crackers to only 2 runs.

In the second game on Sunday Sean Turnan pitched a complete game gem holding the Crackers to only 2 runs. The Cigars played great team defense and Joe Malone had a huge 2 run blast to lead the offense.
