The Cigars defeated the Commanches 6-4 to advance to the second round of the MSBL playoffs. Sean Turnan pitched a complete 9 innings allowing only 4 runs. Led by Lanny Lautenschlager, Wind Nieddu and Alfredo Medina, the Cigars defense was fantastic making several outstanding defense plays. Clutch hitting by Tom Hart, Wind Nieddu, Jeff McMichael, Joe Malone and Tom DiGregorio drove the Cigars offense. Next the Cigars face the Legends in a best of 3 series.
